Item is a short article from an unknown newspaper dated to 4/8/1999. The article is about the 30th anniversary of Prairie Trails Public Library's founding and the special program being hosted in commemeration of that as well as the National Library Week host of programs. For the 30th celebration, the Jessie White Tumbling Team was to come to the library to showcase their abilities. Patrons of all ages were invited to attend the event and eat cake and punch on April 17th. In addtion to the anniversary program, there was also a few other programs that same week such as a talk by vivien Schurfranz, author of the Boxcar Children book series, a talk by a gardening expert and a presenation by Chicago Tribune columnist on famous true crimes. In the photo above the article, there is a picture of Burbank officals celbrating the library's 25h anniversary. |
