Scope & Content |
Item is a letter written by Edward F Dudek, then director of Summit Public LIbrary District to Ruth Faklis, the then Prairie Trails Public Library Director. The letter is typed (except for Edward Dudek's signature in pen) on a roughly 4 by 10 inch paper that has an offical logo/heading for Edward Dudek and the library he is director of. The date of the letter is 2/3/1992. He says he is writing to her both as a fellow librarian and as a resident of Burbank. He says elected boards bear the responsibilities of decisions and that voters will decide if they ahve made a mistake. He also says legal bodies shouldn't concern themselves with other legal bodies. Secondly a part of the district, even if it only makes up 5 percent of the budget shouldn't be snubbed or belittled. He ends by saying that he hopes the library board will accept his support. |
