Item is a transcript/meeting minutes of the March 11th 1992 Regular Council meeting of the Burbank goverment. it is on two 8 by 14 inch papers. At the beginning there is a description of the passing of an ordinance to ammend chapter 2 of the cities code of ordinance, the mayor proclaiming March 8th to 14th Girl Scout week and a speech by former mayor John W. Fitzgerald which comprises of at least half of the transcript. The former mayor stated that he supported Mayor Klein's suggestion of a name change. He stated that the Southtown Ecconomist article about the situation (see file 2020.2.153 for more information) was overly critical of the mayor. He points out that the fact the library isn't named Burbank Public Library may make people assume it is not a library belonging to the town of Burbank. He states that it would help make Burbank be appealing to the right sort of people and mentioned he had personally donated 500 books to the library. He also mentioned that he had written to the SouthTown Ecconomist, though he admits he maybe shouldn't have. Lastly the transcript covers the authorization to purchance police cars, a sanitary sewer problem, neighbor problems and the people of the meeting wishing former Mayor John Fitzgerald a happy birthday.
